Research

Major research themes are:

• The development of advanced approaches to mining biomedical texts (exploiting, for example, full natural language parsers and native XML databases)
• Probabilistic reasoning with biomedical data (Bayesian networks, probabilistic relational models, scientific workflows, mediator systems)
• Predicting various aspects of the immune system, including simulating the human immune system (ImmunoGrid).
