Postdoctoral Research Assistants in Structural Biology
The School of Crystallography/Institute of Structural and Molecular Biology is seeking 2 Post-doctoral Research Assistants to carry out structural analysis of chaperone complexes and aggregates formed in protein misfolding diseases in the research group led by Professor Helen Saibil FRS. The project involves the application of cryo electron microscopy and tomography to structure of macromolecular assemblies in protein quality control. The research is funded by a Programme grant from the Wellcome Trust and involves collaboration with several internationally leading groups. Applicants should have a PhD in Structural Biology, Biophysics, Biochemistry, Cell Biology, or a related area, and relevant research publications.
Salary range will be from 33,501 to 38,376 pounds sterling per annum inclusive of London Allowance on Grade 7, initial salary will be dependent on the skills and experience of the successful applicant.
