Installation of the AthlonXP CPU itself is easy. Take care to only touch the edges, and of course wear the anti-static wrist strip during all these steps. Lift the lever on the motherboard (shown above) then sit the CPU into place. The pins fit into the holes, note the corner section for alignment. It only fits one way, and no pressure is required to get it in place. Put the lever down. The heatsink will rest on the four pads, see next step.
